Press Release October 29, 2007

Breaking, Harmony Happenings!!!!!

Harmony for the Soul has obtained our 501(c)(3) status from the Internal Revenue Service. Our
board members are excited to jump in with both feet and pursue sponsors and Soul music artists
established and independent, for our first annual two-day Soul Patrol Convention and music
festival in Birmingham Alabama this upcoming May 2008.

The Make a Wish Foundation has officially joined our efforts; we here at Harmony hope this
collaboration will increase awareness of Kid One's cause nationwide. All funds raised from this
event will be split between Kid One Transport and The Alabama/Georgia chapter of The Make a
Wish Foundation. This is very exciting news, and we can't wait to work with them both.

We want to thank all the Soul Patrol members nationwide that have given us their support and
prayers. We hope to make this event all that you expect. Please visit our website for updates and
visit our merchandise page and ticket prices and packages will be posted soon.

Go Soul Patrol

Harmony for the soul is a legally formed non profit organization, (Definition of non-profit by the
state of California and the United States of America.....

(
DEFINITION: NPOs generally do not operate to generate profit, a characteristic widely
considered to be defining of such organizations. However, an NPO may accept, hold and disburse
money and other things of value. It may also legally and ethically trade at a profit. The extent to
which it can generate income may be constrained, or the use of those profits may be restricted.
NPOs therefore are typically funded by donations from the private or public sector, and often have
tax exempt status. Donations may sometimes be tax deductible.

FORMATION AND STRUCTURE: Non-profits can have members but many do not. The nonprofit
may also be a trust or association of members. The organization may be controlled by its members
who elect the Board of Directors, Board of Governors or Board of Trustees. Non-profits may have
a delegate structure to allow for the representation of groups or corporations as members.
Alternately, it may be a non-membership organization and the board of directors may elect its own
successors.

A primary difference between a nonprofit and a for-profit business is that a nonprofit does not
issue stock or pay dividends, (for example, The Code of the Commonwealth of Virginia includes
the Non-Stock Corporation Act that is used to incorporate nonprofit entities) and may not enrich its
directors. However, like for-profit businesses, non-profits may still have employees and can
compensate their directors within reasonable bounds.

TAX EXEMPT: In the United States, after a recognized type of legal entity has been formed at the
state level, it is customary for the nonprofit organization to seek tax exempt status with respect to
its income tax obligations. That is typically done by applying to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS),
although statutory exemptions exist for limited types of nonprofit organizations. The IRS, after
reviewing the application to ensure the organization meets the conditions to be recognized as a
tax exempt organization (such as the purpose, limitations on spending, and internal safeguards for
a charity[2]), may issue an authorization letter to the nonprofit granting it tax exempt status for
income tax payment, filing, and deductibility purposes. The exemption does not apply to other
Federal taxes such as employment taxes. Additionally, a tax-exempt organization must pay federal
tax on income that is unrelated to their exempt purpose.[3] Failure to maintain operations in
conformity to the laws may result in an organization losing its tax exempt status. We here at
Harmony have applied for our 501(c)(3) status which is pending with the Internal Revenue Service
(this filling allows Harmony to issue formal tax exempt invoices to event supports and sponsors)
But as stated above we are a recognized non-profit legal entity.

HARMONY FOR THE SOUL ANNOUNCES CHANGE OF DATE FOR NATIONAL
SOUL PATROL CONVENTION TO BENEFIT KID ONE TRANSPORT

Fresno, CA –May 21, 2007— Harmony for the Soul announced today that it is rescheduling its
National Soul Patrol Convention from September 8th, 2007, to May 2008.  The event will be
held in Birmingham, Alabama. The group is currently working with organizers at Kid One
Transport to find a date which may be more amenable to Taylor Hicks’ schedule, increasing
the likelihood of his involvement in the event.  The new spring date will also ensure that
Harmony for the Soul has adequate time to secure additional bands, entertainment, and
sponsorship which will make the event one to remember for Taylor’s fans and supporters of
Kid One Transport.

As Harmony for the Soul founder and president Candy Golden notes, “Our goal here at
Harmony is to hold an event where Soul Patrol members and fans alike can come together and
celebrate our love of Taylor Hicks and to support a worthwhile charity in his name. We have
enjoyed so much support for this event from fans, sponsors, and musicians and look forward
to future collaborations as we finalize plans for this event.”

Please view our Kid One page to find out more information about the organization.
